Team Wendy has announced the launch of its EXFIL Endurance ballistic helmet, designed to provide lightweight head protection for military and law enforcement personnel during extended operations.

The Cleveland based manufacturer confirmed on 27 October 2026 that initial deliveries of the new helmet system have commenced to the land forces of an undisclosed Middle Eastern country.

Lightweight ballistic protection

The EXFIL Endurance features a shell constructed from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, incorporating the manufacturer’s established EXFIL helmet geometry.

Weighing 2.29 lbs, approximately 1.04 kg, the helmet is designed to reduce the weight carried by personnel while maintaining ballistic and impact protection.

The system incorporates Ceradyne Ballistic Technology, including a shell design without through holes and mechanically fastened accessory rails and shroud.

Its patented Seamless Shell construction is intended to preserve fibre continuity throughout the helmet structure.

Impact protection and thermal management

The helmet incorporates Team Wendy’s EXFIL Endurance Air Fit liner, featuring the company’s ZORBIUM Foam Technology.

Developed through research into traumatic brain injury prevention, the liner is designed to absorb impact energy while maintaining a lightweight profile.

Integrated air channels, cooling fabric and strategically positioned pads support airflow and heat dissipation during prolonged use.

Retention and equipment integration

The EXFIL Endurance includes the CAM FIT retention system, which uses cable supported adjustment and a BOA rear dial to provide a secure fit.

CAM FIT locks are intended to maintain stability during movement and extended operational deployments.

The helmet also features reinforced polycarbonate accessory rails with a reverse dovetail design.

An integrated night vision device shroud includes updated shock cords intended to improve equipment stability.

Supporting tactical operations

The helmet’s attachment system accommodates additional tactical equipment, while its Velcro arrangement supports cable management and communication headset integration.

Team Wendy has positioned the EXFIL Endurance for military and law enforcement users requiring ballistic protection, equipment compatibility and comfort during extended missions.

Initial deliveries to its Middle Eastern launch customer mark the beginning of the helmet system’s deployment.

Daron Shank, Product Category Director at Team Wendy, said: “There is a cumulative effect from carrying weight on your head for hours at a time. It can contribute to fatigue and ultimately affect how focused you are on the task in front of you.

“Reducing that burden has real value, but it has to be achieved without sacrificing ballistic performance.

“That same thinking carries through to the Endurance helmet’s no-thru-hole shell technology.

“By avoiding penetrations through the ballistic material, we can help preserve shell integrity while still providing a stable platform for mission equipment.”
