The National Safety Council is launching the 30th anniversary of National Safety Month this June, urging organisations and individuals across the US to take action against preventable injuries.

Established in 1996, National Safety Month has grown into a nationwide movement providing employers, workers and communities with practical tools and resources to reduce risk.
The campaign focuses on preventing injuries, which remain a leading cause of death in the US, each week in June will highlight a different safety topic, with the shared aim of saving lives from the workplace to anyplace.
Weekly safety themes announced
The 2026 campaign will focus on four key areas:
Week 1: Moving Safety Forward
Week 2: Staying Safe on the Roads
Week 3: Promoting Holistic Worker Health
Week 4: Preventing Slips, Trips and Falls
NSC calls for year round safety focus
