uvex Group appoints Dr Jan Allmann as Co-CEO

The uvex Group has appointed Dr Jan Allmann as Co CEO as the occupational safety and sports protection specialist marks its 100th anniversary.

Effective from 1 September 2026, Allmann will lead the group alongside existing Co CEO Stefan Brück. He has also been appointed Chief Executive Officer of uvex Safety Europe.

The leadership changes come as the company targets further international expansion and development across its occupational safety operations.

Safety Europe responsibility

In his role as CEO of uvex Safety Europe, Allmann will take responsibility for the company’s overall Safety Europe business.

He will work alongside the existing Senior Management Team, which includes Managing Directors Sandra Hasslinger and Georg Höfler.

Allmann is already familiar with the company’s strategic direction, having served on the uvex Group Advisory Board during the previous year.

During this period, he contributed to strategic discussions and the development of the group’s longer term plans.

International business experience

Before joining uvex, Allmann spent nine years with the Würth Group. His most recent position was as a member of the Group Executive Board, where he held global responsibility for the Trade division.

Prior to joining Würth, Allmann spent five years working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. His appointment adds international commercial and strategic experience to the uvex leadership team as the company develops its operations across existing and new markets.

Group targets further growth

The leadership changes follow Warburg Pincus acquiring a majority stake in the uvex Group during summer 2025.

Since the investment, uvex and Warburg Pincus have identified further growth opportunities across the group’s existing operations and potential new markets.

Priorities include accelerating international expansion and developing the company’s product portfolio.

The group is also targeting continued profitable growth as it enters its second century of operations under its expanded leadership structure.

Dr Allmann, said: “I am delighted to take on this new role and the opportunities it presents. Our mission of protecting people is more important than ever.

“We will continue to strengthen our commitment to protecting people both at work and during their leisure activities, making a meaningful contribution to society.

“A particular priority for me is ensuring that our customers not only benefit from innovative products, but also enjoy outstanding service and an exceptional customer experience.”

Stefan Brück, Co-CEO of the uvex Group, and Tobias Weidner, Managing Director at Warburg Pincus, welcomed the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Dr Jan Allmann to the management team as Co-CEO.

“Over the past year, he has already developed a deep understanding of the uvex Group and our strategic priorities. His industry expertise and insight into the opportunities and challenges facing our markets will be invaluable as we continue to drive the company’s next stage of growth.”
