Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia has announced that the upcoming edition of Intersec Saudi Arabia has been postponed until October 2027, following a review of recent developments in the Kingdom.

The decision was made in coordination with the exhibition venue, local government partners and international stakeholders, with organisers prioritising the safety of exhibitors, visitors, suppliers and staff.

Organisers prioritise safety and security

Intersec Saudi Arabia brings together professionals from the security, safety and fire protection sectors, connecting international manufacturers, service providers and buyers.

Organisers said the postponement would help maintain the exhibition’s international participation, attendance and commercial value.

Riham Sedik, Show Director, Intersec Saudi Arabia, at Messe Frankfurt Middle East (MFME), said: “This decision is a result of a careful review of the current situation and one that puts the safety and wellbeing of customers, partners, attendees, and teams first.

“Since 2019, Intersec Saudi Arabia has strengthened its position as a flagship platform connecting the global security, safety, and fire protection ecosystem in the Kingdom.

“Our commitment will always be to bring the industry together in a safe, accessible, and commercially valuable way, working closely with local authorities and partners.

“With the event only weeks away, the postponement will allow us to deliver the strongest possible experience for all participants next year.”

Maintaining international industry engagement

Since 2019, Intersec Saudi Arabia has developed its position as a platform connecting security, safety and fire protection professionals with opportunities across the Kingdom.

Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director for Security, Technology and Production at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “While continuing to support our people, customers, and partners in Saudi Arabia, we remain equally committed to the international community that has supported the show over the years.

“Our focus is now on returning with an impactful event in 2027, reflecting the ambition of the Saudi market and the strength of the global Intersec brand.”

Preparations underway for Riyadh return

Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia confirmed that it would continue investing in the exhibition’s development and supporting the growth of the Kingdom’s security, safety and fire protection industries.

The organiser also reaffirmed its alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.

Preparations are now focused on the exhibition’s return to Riyadh in October 2027.

Further information and event updates will be communicated through Intersec Saudi Arabia’s official channels.
