SafeContractor has announced a partnership with facilities management company Pareto FM to strengthen compliance oversight across its contractor and supplier network.

Pareto FM works with a supply chain of approximately 1,500 contractors, delivering facilities management, engineering, compliance and workplace services for its clients.

Contractor compliance framework

Through the partnership, Pareto FM will introduce a consistent, risk based framework for assessing and monitoring contractor compliance.

SafeContractor will provide data and management information intended to give Pareto teams greater visibility across the contractor network.

The company will also work directly with Pareto’s contractors to support businesses as they progress through the approval process.

Supply chain visibility

Using the SafeContractor platform will allow Pareto FM to monitor contractor compliance and identify areas requiring further attention.

The information will also support teams when making decisions based on the level of risk associated with individual contractors and activities.

The partnership is intended to establish greater consistency in the way compliance information is assessed and managed across Pareto’s supply chain.

Supporting health and safety standards

The arrangement will also support requirements contained within Pareto FM’s health and safety policies and Supplier Code of Conduct.

By introducing a structured contractor assurance process, the company aims to translate these requirements into routine monitoring and oversight across its supplier network.

SafeContractor is an SSIP registered and UKAS accredited provider of supply chain risk management services.

Anthony Hanley, SVP Strategic Growth at SafeContractor, said: “Effective contractor assurance doesn’t stop at the point of approval. Requirements, documentation and risks can change over time, so ongoing visibility across the supply chain is crucial to maintaining standards and demonstrating due diligence.

“Pareto has a clear and progressive vision for supply-chain assurance. From our earliest conversations, it was evident that the team sees contractor management as much more than a compliance exercise – it’s an important part of how Pareto protects its people, supports its clients and maintains high standards across its operations.

“We look forward to helping Pareto build greater visibility, consistency and confidence across its contractor network.”

Tim Bicknell, Group HSEQ Manager at Pareto FM, said: “At Pareto FM, our contractors and suppliers play an essential role in the services we deliver. It is important that we have the right visibility and controls in place to ensure the high standards we expect are understood and maintained throughout our supply chain.

“Partnering with SafeContractor gives us a robust and consistent framework for managing contractor assurance and is an important step in the continued development of our supply-chain governance, giving us a more structured way to support our contractors while maintaining visibility of compliance across the network.”
