Hytera has unveiled its new SC700 Smart 4G Body Camera, introducing a range of advanced communication, evidence capture and situational awareness features designed to support frontline public safety operations.
Team Sync Recording captures incidents from multiple angles
One of the key features of the SC700 is Team Sync Recording, which automatically activates nearby body cameras when one device begins recording.
The capability enables incidents to be captured from multiple perspectives, helping command teams and investigators gain a more complete understanding of events during both live operations and post-incident reviews.
Intelligent scene awareness improves officer safety
The SC700 incorporates Intelligent Scene Awareness technology to help improve personnel safety in high-risk environments.
The system can automatically detect events such as man-down situations, prolonged inactivity, camera obstruction or device tampering, and immediately alert dispatch centres to enable faster support and intervention.
AI-powered communication tools
To support clear communications in challenging environments, the body camera features AI-based noise cancellation, howling suppression and a powerful 2W speaker.
These technologies help maintain reliable voice communication even in high-noise operational settings.
Future software updates are expected to expand the camera’s AI capabilities further, including real-time language translation, facial recognition and licence plate recognition, helping officers process information more effectively during operations.
Real-time video and GPS connectivity
The SC700 enables live transmission of HD video and GPS location data directly to command centres, supporting improved situational awareness, resource deployment and incident management.
The device also integrates Hytera HyTalk Push-to-Talk over Cellular technology, allowing interoperability between broadband and PMR networks.
Designed for demanding environments
The body camera features a 160-degree ultra-wide field of view, Starlight night vision and a microphone array capable of capturing voices up to 12 metres away.
Additional features include a 1.1-inch top display, a large front recording button and multiple mounting options. Built for frontline use, the SC700 is IP68 rated, drop resistant up to 1.5 metres and operates in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C.
Leslie Li, Deputy General Manager of BWC Business Unit, Hytera, said: “Body cameras are increasingly expected to do more than record evidence. Agencies need devices that can support operational awareness and frontline coordination while remaining reliable throughout extended deployments.
“The SC700 combines up to 15 hours of continuous recording with real-time communications and intelligent capabilities to help users stay connected and ready when it matters most.”
