Getac Technology Corporation has unveiled its next generation of fully rugged tablets, designed to meet the demands of emergency healthcare, public safety, defence, and other high-intensity sectors.
The new UX10 and UX10-IP tablets build on Getac’s reputation for durable, field-ready computing by integrating powerful performance upgrades, AI capability, and enhanced usability in challenging environments.
The UX10-IP, in particular, has been engineered with infection prevention in mind, offering a sealed design for easy disinfection—ideal for emergency responders and healthcare professionals.
Both devices meet Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC standards and are powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200V Series Processor and Intel AI Boost neural processing unit, delivering up to 48 trillion operations per second. This supports advanced real-time analytics, accelerates AI-driven tasks, and brings heightened efficiency to time-sensitive decision-making in the field.
The tablets also feature up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory, 2TB SSD storage, and Windows Hello facial authentication, alongside optional fingerprint recognition. Connectivity is enhanced with Wi-Fi 7 and dual Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, while battery efficiency and reduced weight increase mobility and runtime.
Weighing just 1.15kg, both models retain the rugged durability Getac is known for. The 10.1-inch display offers 1,000 nits brightness for visibility in sunlight, with touchscreen responsiveness even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves. They are MIL-STD-810H and IP66 certified, resistant to drops and vibration, and operational in temperatures from -29°C to 63°C.
The UX10 is suited to a broad spectrum of mission-critical tasks—from defence and manufacturing to utilities and logistics. Its power and portability support AI-based applications like predictive maintenance, drone operations, and video analysis. Meanwhile, the UX10-IP adds infection control functionality to the same high-performance core, catering to medical and emergency professionals operating in environments where hygiene and speed are paramount.
Getac’s Charlie Gibbs described the new tablets as a platform for field-based AI innovation, helping industries test and scale next-gen applications in real-world conditions. With deep configurability and rugged construction, the UX10 series is positioned to support operational excellence across diverse sectors.
The UX10 and UX10-IP are expected to become available in October 2025.
