PPE manufacturer Bullard has announced the integration of Twiceme smart safety technology into its new Type II + safety helmets, marking a major advancement in connected personal protective equipment (PPE) for industrial workers.
The collaboration with Twiceme Technologies enables Bullard to offer helmets that do more than provide physical protection. By embedding Twiceme’s digital chips into the helmet shell, the new design supports emergency preparedness and streamlines safety management across job sites.
Workers can upload key medical and contact information directly to the helmet, which can then be accessed by first responders via a scan of the Twiceme symbol. This allows critical data—such as allergies and pre-existing conditions—to be retrieved within seconds during emergencies, potentially saving lives and improving outcomes.
For safety managers, the integration offers broader benefits. Through Twiceme’s Safety Management Portal (SMP), organisations can track inspections, manage inventories, monitor documentation, and enhance operational efficiency. The result is a PPE system that supports both immediate and long-term safety goals.

The helmet was showcased last week at the ASSP Safety Conference and Expo in Orlando.
