Blackline Safety has been named among Canada’s Top Growing Companies by The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine for the eighth consecutive year.

The connected safety technology company recorded three year revenue growth of 106%, placing 250th among 375 companies included in the 2026 ranking. Blackline was also ranked 55th among technology and telecommunications businesses.

Connected safety platform expands

The recognition follows the introduction of Blackline’s G8 connected safety wearable in January.

G8 combines portable gas detection and lone worker protection with Push to Talk communications and real time field data, which can be transmitted to the Blackline Live cloud software.

Sean Stinson, President, Blackline Safety, said: “There’s something fitting about marking our eighth consecutive year as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies in the same year we launched G8.

“We’ve continued to grow because customers around the world are looking for better ways to keep their people safe, stay connected to what’s happening in the field and make faster, more informed decisions that save lives.”

Blackline reaches 3,000 organisations

During 2026, Blackline also surpassed 3,000 organisations served worldwide.

Its technology is used across sectors including energy, petrochemicals, utilities, fire and hazardous materials, water and wastewater.

The company’s connected worker technology is designed to provide organisations with information about worker safety and conditions in the field.

Canadian companies recognised

Canada’s Top Growing Companies was launched in 2019 as an editorial ranking recognising growing businesses across the country.

Companies are ranked according to their three year revenue growth.

The full list of companies recognised in the 2026 programme has been published in the October issue of The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine.

Andrew Saunders, President and CEO of The Globe and Mail, said: “The Globe and Mail congratulates the winners of Canada’s Top Growing Companies 2026 on this exceptional achievement.

“Each of these organisations has shown an extraordinary ability to adapt, innovate and grow amid ongoing change.

“Their achievements reflect the ingenuity and determination of Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders who are helping shape the future of our economy.”
