Epicore Biosystems and DuPont Personal Protection have announced a collaboration to explore how wearable hydration technology can be integrated with protective clothing to improve worker safety and well-being.
Epicore, known for its Connected Hydration platform — a wearable sweat-sensing device that tracks hydration and physiological data in real-time — aims to help workers mitigate the risks of heat stress and dehydration. Combined with DuPont’s expertise in protective garments, the partnership seeks to deliver new data-driven insights into worker performance and safety under demanding conditions.
With regulatory focus growing, such as the U.S. Department of Labor’s proposed rules on heat injury and illness prevention, interest in personalised, physiological safety measures is increasing.
