Caracal Products & Services has expanded its healthcare portfolio with the launch of a new range of protective gowns and medical face masks for healthcare professionals.
Developed in partnership with North American PPE manufacturer PRIMED Medical Products, the new range has been designed to provide varying levels of protection for clinical environments while supporting comfort and ease of use.
Protective gowns for clinical settings
The expanded range includes the Overhead Film Gown and the Overhead AAMI Level 2 Isolation Gown.
The Overhead Film Gown is manufactured from a lightweight polyethylene film designed to provide protection against fluid exposure. Its open-back design improves breathability to enhance wearer comfort.
The Overhead AAMI Level 2 Isolation Gown is made from breathable SMS material, offering strength and fluid resistance for tasks involving minimal to low fluid exposure.
Both gowns feature an overhead neck closure and ergonomically positioned thumb loops, while the AAMI Level 2 gown also incorporates elastic cuffs to help keep sleeves securely in place.
Face masks for different protection levels
Caracal has also introduced two ASTM Level 2 medical face masks, designed for procedures involving light to moderate risks of splashes, sprays and bodily fluid exposure, including wound care, dental procedures and line changes.
The range also includes an ASTM Level 3 face mask, providing a higher level of protection for higher-risk clinical environments such as trauma care, emergency departments and intensive care units.
Supporting healthcare supply chains
Caracal said its partnership with PRIMED Medical Products combines protective PPE with operational solutions designed to strengthen supply chain resilience.
PRIMED supplies a range of personal protective equipment developed to meet the varying requirements of clinical teams while balancing protection, comfort and performance.
