Blackline Safety has secured a major $1.8 million contract with a leading Californian water and wastewater utility provider — the company’s largest US utilities deal to date.
The order includes more than 560 of Blackline’s G7c connected wearable gas detectors, along with Blackline Docks for streamlined calibration and charging.
The four-year agreement also includes ongoing self-monitoring services, designed to maintain visibility and protection for workers operating in high-risk environments such as construction and manufacturing.
The contract marks a significant step in Blackline’s continued expansion within the global utilities sector, bolstering its presence in critical infrastructure markets across the US, UK, Europe and Australia.
The award-winning G7c units are equipped with features such as fall and no-motion detection, real-time connectivity, and SOS latches. These capabilities are vital in utility roles where personnel may face confined spaces, gas exposure, adverse weather, and lone-working risks.
