Blackline Safety Corp. has confirmed its first purchase order under a multi-year agreement with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), signalling a major step in the company’s Middle East growth strategy.
The agreement allows for the supply of up to 28,000 connected safety devices and services, with the initial order secured through Blackline’s regional partner Al Masaood. ADNOC will begin its rollout with approximately 1,000 G6 wearable single-gas detectors, each supported by a four-year service package, alongside 1,200 Blackline Location Beacons designed to strengthen signals in indoor and GPS-limited environments.
Producing over four million barrels of oil per day and large volumes of natural gas, ADNOC views the deployment as a significant investment in protecting its frontline workforce.

The G6 device enhances single-gas detection by offering continuous connectivity and real-time data on worker status, enabling faster emergency response. The Location Beacons are intended to improve coverage in complex industrial settings, where traditional GPS may fall short.
The ADNOC agreement follows several Blackline deployments across major energy operators in the region, reflecting a broader shift towards integrated safety ecosystems. As oil and gas companies seek to mitigate risks from toxic gases, confined spaces, and remote work, connected devices are playing a greater role in improving situational awareness and enabling faster interventions.
Globally, regulators and industry bodies are placing increased emphasis on digital safety systems that provide transparency, enable data analysis, and improve accountability. In high-risk industries—from energy and chemicals to utilities and construction—real-time safety monitoring is becoming central to operational strategy.
